This Privacy Policy applies to the FreeNikah application ("Application", "App"), a Muslim matrimonial and marriage-matchmaking service developed and operated by Alnico Tech Private Limited ("Service Provider", "we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you consent to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

To provide a matrimonial service, we collect:

Account & profile information

Name, email address (via Google Sign-In)
Date of birth / age, gender, religion, marital status, city / location
Profile details and partner preferences you choose to provide
Profile photos you upload

Identity verification (selfie)

A live selfie used solely to verify your identity by automatically comparing it against your profile photo (face match).
Your selfie is not shown to other members; it is used only for verification and safety.

Usage & device information

Device type, operating system, IP address
App interactions such as likes, matches, profile views, and searches
Push notification token (FCM)

Communications

Messages you exchange with members you have matched with

2. How We Use Your Information

Create and operate your matrimonial profile, and show you to / help you discover other members
Verify the authenticity of members (automated selfie face-match) to reduce fake profiles
Enable matching, messaging, and notifications
Maintain safety, moderate content, and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse
Respond to support requests and improve the App

3. How Information Is Shared

The information you place in your profile (such as your name, photos, age, city, and preferences) is, by the nature of a matrimonial service, visible to other members of the App so they can consider you as a potential match.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

With trusted service providers who help operate the App — including Amazon Web Services (hosting, image storage, and the automated face-match used for verification) and Google / Firebase (authentication, push notifications, analytics) — under confidentiality obligations and their own privacy policies
To comply with applicable law or valid legal requests
To protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and the App

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time:

In the App: open FreeNikah → Menu / Settings → Delete Account
By email: write to support@alnicotech.com from your registered email address
Via the web: see our Account Deletion page

Upon deletion we remove your profile, photos, selfie, preferences, matches, conversations, and interactions from active systems. A limited subset of records may be retained where required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or safety, and is purged when no longer required.

5. Age Requirement

FreeNikah is intended only for adults aged 18 years or older who are legally eligible for marriage. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has registered, the account and its data will be removed.

6. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. Profile photos and selfies are stored in private storage and are not publicly accessible by direct link.

7. Your Choices

Edit or hide profile details and manage photo privacy within the App
Control notifications through your device settings
Delete your account at any time (see Section 4)

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services including Google Sign-In, Firebase, and Amazon Web Services, which process limited information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
