These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of FreeNikah ("App"), a matrimony and matchmaking application for the Muslim community, developed and operated by Alnico Tech Private Limited ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must be legally competent to marry under the law applicable to you. If you are currently married, you must not use the App to seek another marriage where doing so would be unlawful.
• You must provide truthful and accurate information about yourself, including your age, marital status, and photographs.
• You may create a profile on behalf of a close family member only with that person's knowledge and consent.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

2. The Service

FreeNikah lets you create a matrimonial profile, search and browse other members' profiles, express interest, and — where interest is mutual — exchange messages. Paid memberships unlock additional features such as messaging, seeing who viewed your profile, and viewing photos shared with premium members.

We are an introduction platform only. We are not a marriage broker or agent, we do not act on your behalf, and we do not guarantee that you will find a match, receive interest or replies, or that any introduction will lead to marriage.

3. Verification and What It Does Not Mean

We verify that a member's selfie matches their profile photo (see our Privacy Policy, section 3). A "verified" badge means only that this photo check succeeded.

It is not a background check. We do not verify age, marital status, income, education, employment, criminal history, or health, and we do not independently confirm any claim a member makes. You are responsible for satisfying yourself as to the identity, character, and circumstances of any member you interact with, and for conducting your own due diligence before meeting anyone or making any commitment.

4. Your Content and Licence

You retain ownership of the photographs and text you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content solely to provide the Service — showing your profile to other members in line with your privacy settings, delivering your messages, and verifying your account. We do not use your content to train models and we do not publish it outside the App.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Provide false, misleading, or impersonated information, or use another person's photographs
• Create a profile for someone without their consent, or create multiple accounts
• Solicit money, gifts, loans, investment, or financial information from other members
• Use the App for dating, casual relationships, escort services, or any purpose other than seeking marriage
• Harass, threaten, stalk, abuse, defame, or discriminate against any member
• Send sexually explicit, hateful, violent, or unlawful content
• Extract, scrape, copy, store, or redistribute other members' profiles, photographs, or contact details, including for marketing or for another matchmaking service
• Share another member's photographs, messages, or contact details outside the App without their consent
• Attempt to hack, reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the App or circumvent paid features
• Resell or commercially redistribute access to the Service

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we may report unlawful conduct to the authorities.

6. Safety

Interacting with people you do not know carries risk. Please exercise caution: meet in public places, tell a family member where you are going, do not send money to anyone you meet on the App, and be wary of anyone who avoids video or in-person contact. Report concerning behaviour using the in-app report option or by emailing support@alnicotech.com. You can block any member at any time.

7. Memberships and Payments

• The App is free to join, including creating a profile, browsing, and sending interests, subject to fair-use limits.
• Paid memberships unlock additional features and are billed through our payment gateway. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details.
• Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) inclusive of applicable taxes, and may change with notice for future billing periods.
• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription. New members pay an introductory ₹49 for the first 7 days, after which ₹299 is automatically debited every 28 days until the subscription is cancelled. Members who have already used the introductory offer, or held a membership before, pay ₹299 every 28 days from the start. Members who subscribed earlier continue at the price shown in the mandate they approved. Setting up the subscription authorises a recurring mandate (UPI AutoPay, card, or net banking) for these amounts.
• Membership benefits begin once payment is confirmed and continue for as long as the subscription remains active.
• You can cancel at any time by emailing support@alnicotech.com. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid the following charge; your benefits remain available until the end of the period you have already paid for. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if we receive credible reports of misconduct, if required by law, or to protect members and the App. Where we terminate an account for a violation of these Terms, membership fees are not refundable. You may delete your account at any time (see our Account Deletion page).

9. Intellectual Property

All branding, designs, features, and technology of the App are owned by Alnico Tech Private Limited. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our branding or content without prior written permission.

10. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any profile is genuine or accurate, or that any introduction will result in marriage.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alnico Tech Private Limited is not liable for the conduct of any member, whether online or offline, nor for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the App or from any interaction, meeting, relationship, or marriage arising through it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the membership fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under applicable law that cannot be waived.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
